At SonShine Farms, our produce is grown locally and organically using the latest in ecological and sustainable methods.
When our Heavenly Father created the Earth, He gave instructions for our dietary needs. God said in Genesis 1:29, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it.” When God created man, he was instructed to eat fruits and vegetables.
Fruits and vegetables provide us with vitamins and minerals required for optimum health and are vital for a vibrant, abundant life.
More and more of the produce sold in stores has been genetically modified (GMO) to enhance their quantities and shelf life. However, these GMOs can cause traumatic health issues such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease and various types of cancer.
Depending on the season, your "shares" will include produce such as: beets; berries (strawberries, blackberries and blueberries); cabbage; collards; cucumbers; eggplant; garlic; herbs (mint & sage); kale; melons (cantaloupe & watermelons); onions (red, yellow, white & Vidalia); peppers (bell, banana, green & red); potatoes (red, irish & Yukon); radishes; squash (butternut, yellow & zucchini); tomatoes (varieties) and turnip greens.
As a SonShine Farms “Share-Partner”, your produce can be picked up or delivered to you weekly or semi-weekly beginning in mid-June thru October. "Share orders" must have been placed prior to APRIL 15th for the planting season.. However, there may be some produce available on Thursdays at the Cookery in Nashville.

We can deliver your produce to you or you can pick it up on Thursdays from 3 to 6 PM at the Cookery Restaurant at 1827 12th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37203 (click for directions)
SonShine Farms is sponsored by the Family Foundation Fund which, for over 25 years, has mentored young boys whose fathers are absent and helped them to become Christ-centered men who will impact their families and communities for generations to come. As a SonShine Farms Share-Partner, you are not only benefiting from fresh, organic, locally grown produce, but you are also investing in their godly development.
The young men who enroll in our multi-year mentorship program learn nutritional principles, stewardship for healthy living and ecological best-practices and as a part of their Biblically-based training. Please contact us if you would like more info about this vital ministry.
